Sunflower Duo

Everyone seems to like this sunflower photo, so I decided it'd be a good idea to throw it up as my featured deviation.

I'm a freshly graduated Biologist who's pretty much given up trying to find a job in our current economy. I will probably be returning to grad. school for nursing or some bio research this coming January.

I have 5 passions in life: science, words, music, food, and trying new things. I know it's strange not to include photography on that list, but I am still in the beginning phases of becoming a "true" photographer. So, photography could be added to that list sometime in the near future.

I like to think I'm an extremely open minded person in all aspects of life. Trying new hobbies is essentially my biggest hobby. I jump from things like unicycling to sausage making on a bi-monthly basis.

With that being said, I love art and come from an artistic family. My dad was a photographer and used to own a few art galleries and my mom was a painter. Unfortunately, I've only dabbled in the arts until recently. So, hopefully, I can take an accelerated track to artistic success!

To think upon the greater mysteries of our universe is something that I do with ease, but when i try to understand and define phenomena such as love, perplexity arise and my definitions descend into meaninglessness.

Good to hear I'm in the company of other bio geeks. I actually decided to post some microscope pictures of plant cells just now. Maybe you could tell me what the picture of the triangle-ish thing is. I can't remember anymore... my plant anatomy class was quite a while ago.

Which thing would that be? I've been doing mainly human biology, just basic prerequisite stuff.

Ah, okay. Well, I was thinking during my drive to Wing-Tsun class and I'm pretty sure it's a conifer needle. So, are you in a university bio program? If so, what year?
